Job Summary - The primary responsibility of this position is to grow the Heraeus Medical Infection Management Business (IMB) in North America. This position has full responsibility for the sales and marketing channel for the infection management portfolio.

  • Job Summary - The primary responsibility of this position is to sell medical products, equipment and services to hospitals, health systems, doctors' offices, and clinics. Management and control of its associated internal and external stakeholders. Management and production of all North American sales and cost budgets.
  • Development and implementation of specific business plans and sales and marketing strategies.
  • Coordination and communication with the relevant channels for product management and forecasting of product usage and new introductions.
  • Leading and controlling tender management activities. Working with the Key Account Team on the renewal of contracts and amendment to existing contracts with health authorities and external stakeholders.
  • Active participation in established Country Manager Meetings.
  • Selection, contracting and build out of a dedicated 1099 sales channel for the portfolio, split into arthroplasty, trauma, foot and ankle and spine. Strategic decision making on how this channel can be supported, either directly or using the current W2 set-up as a synergy.
  • Leadership and management of the sales team where applicable in all stated regions, management of the sales activities and associated business functions.
  • Professional support of existing and new customers especially opinion leaders, and health boards.
  • Competent negotiations with hospitals and buying groups at various levels, complex presentations of the products and services to negotiate prices and contracts.
  • Define clear strategic plans for North America, defining and setting of objectives for the sales channel.
  • Development of sales and business skills within the sales and distribution team.

Your Profile

  • Master’s Degree in a relevant area with a minimum of 5 years successful track record of orthopedic/device sales and 3-5 years of sales management experience is preferred.   
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism, and leadership ability; exhibit a high level of motivation and initiative with the ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Experience working with international team members preferred. 
  • Coaching skills, Project Management skills, a Strategic thinker strongly preferred.
  • Diplomacy and Negotiation skills preferred.
  • Ability to work against resistance and take unpopular decisions
  • The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
