Heraeus Quartz North America, LLC. has an immediate opening for a TPA Cut/Clean Specialist to join our Finishing Department at our Buford, GA facility. The primary responsibility of this position is to perform final phase of tube finishing, including fire polishing, scribing, final quality inspection, and packing.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Fire polish cut tubes based on customer specifications.
- Laser scribe tubes prior to packing.
- Perform final visual inspection of all tubes.
- Sleeves individual tubes prior to packing. (In order to do this efficiently, incumbent will become familiar with over 2,000 different part numbers).
- Responsible for entering order information in computer system (SAP).
- Responsible for keeping area neat and organized.
- Skilled TPA operators may be required to provide training to new operators.
- Set up saw(s) for proper cutting
- Cut tubing to customer specifications.
- Clean and dry tubing (blow dry and hand clean).
- Use calipers and tape measure to measure millimeters, protractor to check tube angle, gauge pin, and ID gauge plug.
- Rack cut tubes to prevent breakage.
- Enter order information in computerized systems (SAP) and QDC; fills out production orders.
- Monitor and maintains ultrasonic water purification system.
What is Required for this Role:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- A minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience is a plus (the equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism and leadership ability.
- Exhibit a high level of motivation and initiative with the ability to meet deadlines.
