Job Overview
The Senior Material Scientist will lead advanced materials research, focusing on the design, optimization, and validation of metallic materials across critical applications. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic project leadership, and the ability to translate scientific discoveries into scalable, production‑ready material solutions.

Material Development & Leadership
Lead the formulation, design, and optimization of metallic materials tailored for high‑performance applications across electronics, automotive, and industrial sectors.
Develop next‑generation material systems by integrating microstructure engineering, heat‑treatment innovation, and solid–liquid phase transformation studies.
Drive research initiatives to identify emerging material technologies and convert insights into new product opportunities.

Project Management & Execution
Plan and execute end‑to‑end R&D programs using scientific, analytical, and statistical methodologies.
Collaborate with testing, manufacturing, and quality teams to validate materials and ensure readiness for scale‑up.
Ensure all project milestones, documentation, and cross‑team communication are delivered with technical accuracy and timeliness.

Strategic Reporting & Communication
Communicate research progress, technical risks, and strategic recommendations through structured reports and presentations for management review.
Act as a technical bridge between R&D, operations, and business teams to align material development strategies with organizational objectives.

Customer & Market Support
Provide expert technical consultation for customer qualification activities involving metallic materials and heat‑treatment performance.
Analyze customer needs and industry trends to translate requirements into targeted material development priorities.
Represent the company in technical exchanges and industry forums related to advanced metallurgical technologies.

Qualifications & Skills
Master’s or Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields. PhD is a big plus.
Extensive experience in metallic material R&D, including microstructure analysis, heat‑treatment design, and mechanical property optimization. Experience in wire bonding material is a big plus.
Proficiency in material characterization tools such as metallography, microscopy, and mechanical testing.
Experience with modeling and simulation tools (e.g., FEA, thermodynamic or kinetic modeling) and statistical tools such as Minitab.
Familiarity with industrial metal‑processing methods including casting, forming, and heat treatment.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and scientific reasoning abilities.
Skilled in project planning, documentation, and multi‑task management in fast‑paced R&D environments.
